The Fairy-tale Nativity - our new Christmas crib for families
The Advent season is a very special time for families. In addition to home-baked cookies and the Advent calendar, the setting up of a nativity scene is one of the wonderful traditions that make the anticipation of the feast grow daily. With the new Fairy-tale Nativity we have added a Christmas crib for children to our assortment, whose round carved figures are ideal for playing. There are no fragile parts on the nativity figures for children that could break off. Instead, from the Holy Family to the elephant, all figures are handy and optimal for small children's hands.

Why is the Fable nativity scene a real family nativity scene?
Only a few generations ago, a wooden crib was rarely suitable for children. The hand-carved nativity scenes were fragile family heirlooms and were usually not even allowed to be touched by the little ones. With our new play crib for children, the Christmas story finally becomes tangible for all family members.
The carved crib figures are so stable that you can even place this wooden crib for children in the children's room. All figures are deliberately kept simple and leave children a lot of room for imagination. So the Christmas story can be wonderfully re-enacted.
Would you like to make the Advent season even more exciting? Then set up the wooden nativity figures bit by bit: Start with the stable and the Holy Family, later on the animals and the Holy Kings will be added. What material is the Fairy-Tale crib made of?
Like all cribs and nativity figures at Lignoma, the Fairy-tale crib is carved from real wood. For the Fairy-tale nativity scene, ash wood is used - a wonderful type of wood, whose positive qualities are shown to advantage in the soft and smooth shapes of the nativity figures. All figurines are made in Val Gardena - a region in South Tyrol that is world famous for its carving tradition! The figures of the Fairy-tale crib are also carved with a lot of handcraft. Our carvers use carving tools for the production of the artistic figures, some of which have been handed down in their families over several generations. The coloration is also done by hand.
Which crib is the right one for my family?
A family crib should always be suitable for play - especially if there are still kindergarten children and infants in the family. The Fairy-tale crib fulfills all the requirements to be considered a real nativity scene crib. The figures are available in two sizes. Depending on how much space you have at home, you will find the right size for your family. You can also buy the Fairy-tale crib here as a complete set. However, it is also possible to start with the stable and some figures some figures and order more figures every year.
