The Rives crib in Swiss stone pine comes from the Deur wood carving workshop in Val Gardena and includes 43 wooden figures in the sizes 15 cm or 18 cm. The Nativity figures are complemented by expressive shepherds and children's motifs. Besides the "natural" version shown here, colored figures are also available. This nativity scene is also available as Tirolese Nativity scene made of maple and lime wood.

The Rives crib
The central focus is the Jesus child lying in a manger, joyfully spreading his arms. While the kneeling Saint Mary smiles lovingly at her son, Saint Joseph, supported on a stick, illuminates the scene with his lantern. Several shepherds approach the manger stable, in front of which children, supervised by their grandparents, play and make music. With sheep, goats, dogs, pigs, ducks as well as an ox and donkey, the animal world near the stable can also be seen. And The Three Wise Kings are accompanied by camels and an elephant loaded with luggage. Above all, the gloria angel "in Excelsis Deo" hovers.
Each figure a carved work of art
The Nativity sets is made of Swiss stone pine wood, which darkens slightly with time and takes on a warm, reddish brown tone. Each of the 43 nativity figures is completely re-carved by the carver and is therefore a unique work of art. In addition to the "natural" and "colored" versions, various sizes are available. The figure of St. Joseph, which is available at the Rives crib with a height of 15 cm and 18 cm respectively, serves as a guide. It is also worthwhile to buy a matching stable here in the store.
